Live Experiences: Who killed Bruce Lee? (Lib/Ger) @WKBLband #SpillestedetStengade #Copenhagen

Moving from a little place(Aalesund) to a big city can blow your mind, I’m gonna post about live music experiences i have here in Copenhagen. First out is the band “Who killed Bruce Lee?” guess they’re from Libya/Germany. Not much info to find about them online, but they got a great homepage.

Location: The venue Spillestedet Stengade, Copenhagen Denmark.
Audience: about 30 people
Vibe: good
Genre: Rock with elements of pop and electronica

They gave it all even though the crowed was about 30 people, but the vibe was god and the audience played along and actually a girl was knocked over and think maybe se got a blue eye, she got a bag of ice to cool it down. Cosy guys playing catchy rock, pop, at one point the guy on keys started rapping hipp hopp, the front figure flirted with little crowed there, they deserved a larger crowd. 14702490_10154682093120625_1254534088213512082_n

The Edge Of Paradise

INDIE SCENE RADIO‘s “Artist of the Week” – The Edge Of Paradise
Margarita Monet
Dave Bates
John Chominsky
Nick Ericson

Homwtown: Los Angeles, CA

Genre: Hard Rock/ Heavy Metal

Edge of Paradise might be a new band, but when your debut album includes the rhythm section of bassist Tony Franklin (Blue Murder, The Firm) and drummer Gregg Bissonette (David Lee Roth Band), you know you’re already in great shape. Now add the powerhouse vocals of Margarita Monet and Dave Bates’ towering guitars and you have yourself a record essential to any fan of melodic metal.
Formed by Monet and Bates in 2011, Edge Of Paradise debut release ‘Mask’ (Co written with Robin Mc Auley ) that came at #6 most added on national CMJ radio, right behind Machine Head and Five Finger Death Punch. An album chockfull of industrial-tinged metal coupled with soaring vocal hooks, was greatly received by critics and fans worldwide. Legendary Rock Interviews stated “Once in a while a new band comes along that not only has a unique sound of its’ own but draws upon all the things we love about metal or rock to begin with. Edge of Paradise are one of the best independent bands to come out of L.A. in some time.”

Edge Of Paradise has been gearing up for the new year with new music and big plans. The group immediately began writing to showcase the bands maturity and define the direction that was pre-empted by “Mask”. Working with legendary Michael Wagener on the mix of the songs and recording with grammy winning producer Bob Kulick (Kiss, Motorhead), the new songs will be a showcase for the staggering growth and maturity, achieved since the release of the “Mask”.
Edge Of Paradise knows how to bring it live. HardRockHaven stated, “Don’t be fooled by her angelic personality and beauty, Monet’s power and intensity will grab you by the neck and won’t let go until your head is blown off by her unearthly vocal range, hitting the notes most singers would not dare to attempt. Guitarist, Dave Bates is the epitome of sheer effortless virtuosity; this guy will make all guitar players either Idolize or hate him, as there are very few guitarists on this Earth that can shred like Bates.”

With the solid line up that consists of Margarita Monet -vocals, Dave Bates-guitars, Nick Ericson-bass, John Chominsky-drums, the band is planning a heavy touring year.

During one of their past live shows, Music Connection Magazine described the band “as a tight, well-oiled machine”. The band is now ready to bring that machine to the people!

Matthew McCormick (drums)
Sanja Jovanović (vocals/bass)

Anyone’s Guess is a three-piece, female fronted rock-grunge band from Florida. Since forming in late 2006 and Anyone’s Guess has released three albums.Point:Counterpoint and Cost of Silence put them on the radar in both USA and UK, through college and internet radio play. The band has shared the stage with national touring bands like 12 Stones, Straight Line Stitch, Bellusira, Letters from the Fire, The Letter Black, was a featured in-studio artist on Bubba the Love Sponge Show, played the House of Blues, and spent extensive time building a live presence in the eastern half of United States. Their song ‘Leavin’ is licensed to Synchup for TV syndication and the most recent single “Unthinkable” was a featured song of the day in Revolver Magazine’s newsletter.

Produced by the Grammy-nominated engineer, Chris Short, March in the Dark is Anyone’s Guess’ third album, but first release under Red Dragon Records (Spectra Music Group). It’s a record broken into two chapters (EPs), openly covering the major life-changing events that took place in the band members’ lives for the past two years. From battles with alcohol abuse, self-doubt, guilt, regret and fear, tastefully tucked into the song ‘Run,’ to rising up above a pride-crushing event described in Hunter, Anyone’s Guess has delivered a career-defining album worth every rock-lover’s attention.

The band has just returned from their spring tour promoting their new EP ‘March in the Dark: Chapter Two’, available now!

The ardent companion that you are ~ The Koniac Net ~ Indie Rock / Alternative Rock / Hard Rock ~ Bombay, India

Well good morning from Norway to you, I’m down in my third coffee and ready to serve you some good music you never heard about before! Gerg Anidem threw up this band from India on last nights Gerg Show on the coolest Indie radio channel: Indie Scene Radio, they are unsigned, but recognized, still I never heard about them until now, enjoy! Show your support and follow their sosial media and they are looking for contacts in Norway, they wanna come over here to play, better grab them before they are signed with a record company guys:Love Dj Crazy C from Aalesund, Norway.

Spawning all the way from Bombay (India), the debut album, “One Last Monsoon,” was written & performed entirely by songwriter David Abraham, and primarily recorded in his bedroom – an apt environment for an album that plays like a love letter to the Indie & Alternative genres, and the artists/bands that allow these genres to thrive.

The Koniac Net has been compared to artists such as the Stills, Smashing Pumpkins, Toadies, Death Cab For Cutie, Matt Pond PA, Marcy Playground, Helmet & the Deftones. The band’s music pays tribute to the genres these artists represent.

Songs from “One Last Monsoon” have already gained airplay on over 145 radio stations across 32 countries. Upon receiving numerous requests to tour internationally, the Koniac Net transformed from a one-man-project to a 5-piece band in June of 2012.

In February of 2014, the band released their 1st Ep, “Abiogenesis,” in which all 5 members contributed to the writing process.

David Abraham – Vocals + Guitar
Jason D’Souza – Guitar + Backing Vocals (+ was the mixing engineer on the album)
Aaron Dmello – Guitar + Backing Vocals
Adil Kurwa – Bass (+ was guest bass player on the song “Divine Submersion”)
Karun Kannampilly – Drums

Meaning behind the title “THE KONIAC NET”:

I had this name for one of my mix cds I made (when cds were still used). It represents that point in your life (that can happen at any given moment) where you are presented with 2 paths, and even though “Path A,” at the time, looks better than the other, for 1418466535_MEREN-this_time_around_OPT2reasons unknown, you are FORCED to take the less appealing “Path B”.

Later in life you realise that “Path B” has turned out to be the FAR more fruitful & lucrative trail, while the more appealing choice was in fact a metaphorical net (similar to that of an Angler Fish’s protruding fleshy light). It’s a name that’s been with me for over a decade. It also precipitated during a time in my life where I realised how comforting scotch, whiskey, cognac & Southern Comfort were at trying times.

1418466733_MEREN-midnights_children_FinalHence “the koniac net” – a paradoxical/oxymoronic optimistic & cynical representation of how life’s surprises/plans for you have reason & purpose, and are justified at random points of time in our lives, even though we might not be aware of it.

Unpolished punk rock straight from the streets of LA ~Kittenhead @KittenheadLa @KiviKittenhead

Have seen this band’s vocalist on Twitter a while, but took me a while to check out their music, talked with vocalist Kivi Neimi yesterday them has released album in 2014 and a single in 2015 and actually they have relatives in Northern Norway, possible they can manage to get over Altlantic sea to Norway in the near future! My favorite song is Tinman. Show your support by following their sosial media. Cheers and happy weeekend. Love Dj Crazy Cecilie

Kittenhead is a Los Angeles-based rock band united in their desire to create high-energy rock and roll. From the first magical moment of working on a couple of obscure covers, it became apparent to all that their diverse musical styles and background came together with a spirit of symbiosis and musicianship. Each member of Kittenhead is an accomplished musician and songwriter, all with touring and stage experience.

10349211_867112163332209_3872593565391972913_nThe first two Kittenhead shows were in September 2012 in Portland, OR and headlining at the world famous Comet in Seattle, WA. Subsequent shows included the Roxy in Hollywood, CA, the Worldfamous Doll Hut in Anaheim, CA and Shea’s Tavern in Reno, NV. The band has already experienced an exponential growth and a major jump to become a top 100 (#77, as of 01/12/2013) ranking in Reverbnation.com and increasing their Facebook “likes” by 50% week over week in December 2012 and January 2013. Fans are posting positive feedback quickly on the band’s Facebook page and have already received high praise by Los Angeles Music magazine,TheLosAngelesBeat.com, calling Kittenhead “high energy rock”, “exciting”, and recommending to readers to “go see Kittenhead”.

Kerchief is Dutch and French for bandana, reckon it’s random name. I heard these here first time a late night, rather the night this week. So I really like some easy listening pop and I like the voice of Brittany Hill, delicious simple fill in guitar. Immediately liked the song: Milk & Honey and checked out the rest. These are signed, but being signed does not necessarily mean something for an artist. I know of many who have signed with the label, and nothing happens, you have to actually do a lot of work yourself if you want to reach out to the world. Enjoy and follow their sosial media.

With a well-bred attitude brimming with substance, both musically and lyrically,Kerchief is a welcome departure from what a listener might commonly find from a “twenty-something” female artist on today’s Top 40. Kerchief (born Brittany Hill) hails from Ohio, but currently lives in Tennessee, brings a middle America sentimentality and work ethic to her most recent meticulous recording work with producer Matty Amendola.

11694894_606929526116460_6696472006688285698_nAfter calling it quits with her band of seven years, Vanity Theft (Vigilante Music/Adamant Records) Hill’s main focus was writing; Towing  inspiration from the journey that has led her to where she is today.  With five releases, two acclaimed web shows, and worldwide touring history with Hunter Valentine,Taking Back Sunday, and Sick Of Sarah, going solo was a cathartic experience that traced illustrations of what she was going through at that time.

“This debut solo album is a chance to connect with all those working so hard to make 11745423_613922428750503_2269173711530399048_nends meet and make sense of life, and to remind them to cherish the moment,” said Hill. “One day you’ll look back and remember what it was like to want to work so hard for something you believed in, and you’ll wish you were back there – facing the unknown, but doing your best.”

Throughout the debut record, Hill is commanding attention, asserting herself with the confidence that she needs to be heard.  Listeners will not take long the answer the call.

“Machines & Animals” offers tracks that expertly weave Hill’s smooth voice with the edge of her songwriting and lyrics.  Guitar riffs bite into bass lines that ebb and flow with emotional vocals, taking inspiration from a personal journey.  Heavy drum beats and layered guitars articulate the feelings behind stories of the pursuit of finding purpose in life’s daily struggles, reflecting an evident influence from ‘90s alternative rock.

“From the writing process to pre-production, to the recording process with producer Matty Amendola, to the finished product, I feel that the songs became fully realized,” said Hill.  “I never had to bite my tongue. The songs were written from a raw emotional place, experimented with in the studio and brought to their full potential with Matty in Brooklyn, NY. This is the best thing I’ve done to date.”

Amendola knew working with Kerchief would be a perfect fit as soon as he heard her demos. Working closely with engineer and Grammy Award winner Butch Jones, he created a sound that would bring Kerchief’s debut album to life.

“What separates this record from the other indie rock out there, is that the songs themselves come first,” said Amendola.  “It’s a rare quality to find an artist who’s a real straight shooter and puts so much of her soul into her lyrics, while keeping everything simple and relatable.  You feel like Kerchief is singing about your life or your own deep thoughts. She’s a master of that side of the craft.”

After recording with producer Matty Amendola, he brought the full team on board from his music incubator 825 Records and signed Kerchief to an artist development and distribution deal.  The first single “Milk & Honey” was released on March 24th 2015 and was followed by indie reviews world-wide, CMJ radio playlists, regional TV airplay, and a succesful 12+ city Summer tour.
